Atlas Sound’smodel DSP8807 digital sound masking/paging system is a self contained, digital signal processor with integral amplification designed to efficiently route and mixmasking, paging, and background music sources. Applications include speech privacy and general paging for office spaces, health care campuses and secure government facilities.
An intuitive ‘simple to use’ Graphic User Interface (GUI) iseasily managed via a local Windows®compatible computer for set-up and control all 8 inputs &outputs of the system through USB or Ethernet ports. Dual maskingsource is completely random and non-repeating (up to 215) hours with EQ adjustments programmable per output zone. Eightclass-D amplifiers rated at 50W/channel (@ 70.7V)and a built in telephony interface simplifies paging set-up. Additionally a simultaneous Audio Line level output rated at 1V/600O (nominal) per zone is available for driving higher power amplifiers. The system is expandable up to (253) systems (2048 zones) with primary and secondary assignment in a zone page dialing plan(2-digit DTMF) with “All Zone” and “Group zone” pages simply configured viathe GUI. A powerful, fixed architecture DSP providesequalization, dynamic and routing priority control for all input sources as well as line level and amplified outputs.
Each DSP8807 is also capable of managing remote ambient level sensing microphones (ALM-1) per zone (x8) wired via a single CAT5e cable up to 1,000 feet from the DSP8807 for automatic adjustment of the masking level based on real-time noise levels with set up and control via the GUI.
“Atlas Sound has been providing sound masking solutions for over 3 decades”, said Steve Young VP of Sales & Marketing. He continued, “addition of the DSP8807, DSP2210 and DSP2212 to our range will give Atlas integrators new, extremely versatile solutionsto addresses high end masking installations. We are very excited to be releasing this product and further solidifying Atlas Sound as the number one name in sound masking technology.
